The breath of the Almighty gives us life

“I will praise You every day; yes, I will praise you forever.” Psalms 145:2 NLT.

“Let everything that has breath praise the Lord! Praise the Lord!” Psalms 150:6 ESV.

Every day is a gift, graciously given to us by God. To put it another way, every breath we take is a gift. I’m going to hold my hands up because, like many, I took this gift for granted. I would become so absorbed with worldly matters and overlook this precious gift God bestows on us every time we take a breath.

“For this world is not our permanent home; we are looking forward to a home yet to come. Therefore, let us offer through Jesus a continual sacrifice of praise to God, proclaiming our allegiance to His name.” Hebrews 13:14-15 NLT.

“The Word gave life to everything that was created, and His life brought light to everyone.” John 1:4 NLT.

When we accept life as a gift from God, we begin to value each breath. We begin to notice heavenly gifts all around us. Every day, is full of blessings! When we name our blessings, gift by gift, it helps us not take life for granted. Reflecting on each gift has taught me to appreciate each breath. These blessings are boundless and come at no cost to us. Every day, thank God for all He has graciously given you, no matter how small.

“Let the message about Christ, in all its richness, fill your lives. Teach and counsel each other with all the wisdom He gives. Sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts.” Colossians 3:16 NLT.

When I sit and reflect on the gift of life, God’s love for His creation is overwhelmingly evident through Jesus Christ. Despite neglecting, not recognising, and not appreciating all God does for us, He still blesses us every time we take a breath! I am so thankful since repenting; God’s Holy Spirit has opened my eyes to appreciate blessings I overlooked. Ever since then, I am grateful for every day of my life! We all should be! We should be thankful for the people in our lives through Christ our Lord. Let us start and end our day right, through praise and worship! Give thanks to God always through Jesus Christ our Lord for the gift of life! While we still have air in our lungs, we should not tire of thanking God for blessing us through Jesus Christ our Lord!

“And this is the testimony, that God gave us eternal life, and this life is in His Son.” 1 John 5:11 ESV.

Will of God

  Who is able to advise the Spirt of the Lord? Who knows enough to give Him advice or teach Him? Has the Lord ever needed anyone’s advice? Does He need instruction about what is good? Did someone teach Him what is right or show Him the path of justice?” Isaiah 40:13-14 NLT. For years, I was guilty of bargaining with God to say ‘yes’ to my life plans. As ridiculous as it may sound, I prayed to bring God glory through the blessings He bestowed upon me. My prayers to God were all centred on myself. I can’t believe I prayed to God to help me achieve all my hopes and aspirations, so, that the rewards would bring honour to His name. Looking back, this makes no sense to me. Choosing God through Christ our Lord...

I'm no different than you reading this right now. Thus, begs the question why? Why would I start one now? And like you reading this right now, I have no idea why I’m doing this.
